About Carter
A native of Wichita, Carter began his career with Martens in 1996 as an appraisal assistant while completing his degree at Wichita State University. After graduating from WSU with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics he began full-time employment with Martens in the appraiser trainee program. Carter completed the trainee program and obtained Kansas General Appraisal State Certification in 2000, received the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2017, and earned his CCIM designation in 2019.

Experience
Primary area of practice focuses on all types of industrial facilities including manufacturing, distribution and storage warehouse. An area of particular attention is on large industrial facilities in Kansas located outside the major metro areas.
Carter also performs appraisal services on all types of commercial real estate including net leased investments, auto service and sales; office buildings, including multi-tenant, medical and corporate single tenant offices; retail buildings and shopping centers and special use properties. Carter’s geographic coverage primarily focuses on Wichita and Sedgwick County, but has experience throughout Kansas including four years working out of the Kansas City market for Martens Appraisal from 2003 to 2007. Carter also has substantial experience in appraisals for eminent domain and condemnation projects as well as multi-state portfolio valuation.
